EMS has top of the line gear, it can be costly but their gear will last forever. You can find bargains during sale times or during their club days
if you sign up for the emails you'll find out when the club days are. EMS also has a local store in Pittsford Plaza.
The Strong Scout Shop is located at the Seneca Waterways Council office in Henrietta. Operated by National BSA it has just about
everything you can find in the scout catalog.
At meritbadge.org you can find out about all the requirements for ranks and merit badges. For the merit badge resources they
have great workbooks that help guide the scouts through the merit badge. ** please note** make sure to check with a leader before
starting any merit badges on your own.
Troop 59 visits the Adirondack region at least a few times every year. Usually we do our annal High Peaks trip along with a canoe trip over the summer.
About every 5 to 6 years Troop 59 has taken a trip out to Yellowstone National Park, it is an unbelievable place that all scouts should experience at least once!
Buffalo Naval Park gives the scouts the opportunity to spend a night on a battle ship and spend lots of time exploring all aspects of the ships/ submarine.
Camp Babcock Hovey one of our council's (Seneca Waterways Council) camps, located on Sececa Lake. The main one that our troop has atteneded for summer camp
along with going to camporees and non-summer camp outings.
Camp Cutler is another camp owned by Seneca Waterways Council, located near Naples, NY. Designed to be a cub camp but this camp has been the spot for our winter
camping trip the last few years.
Camp Massawepie is another camp owned by Seneca Waterways Council, located in the Adirondack Mountains. They offer up a Boy Scout camp anlong with some great off season camping.
